Hungarian Designer Creates an Amazing Lego DJ Setup.

Hungarian designer Tamás Borján, known for his LEGO projects under the alias Tomasso Builds, has unveiled his latest creation in a new video—a playable CDJ design comprising 2,628 LEGO pieces. In the video’s caption, he described the building process as more enjoyable due to incorporating larger elements. Despite the overall cubic shape, he aimed to enhance the assembling experience.

The LEGO CDJ 2000 Nexus design, initially showcased in July, features functional elements such as a USB stick and port, CD drive, jog wheel, tempo fader, and replaceable LED panels. Following this success, Borján extended his LEGO DJ lineup with plans for a DJM 900 Nexus mixer. This mixer design includes volume faders, a master knob, an effects selector knob with four effects, a crossfader, and an LED panel, as shared in September.

Borján has taken the initiative to submit his LEGO DJ setup project to the LEGO Ideas platform. This platform offers creators the chance to have their ideas considered for potential commercial use if they garner 10,000 supporters. If selected, the original designer receives 1% of product royalties. Tomasso Builds’ LEGO Ideas page has recently surpassed the 7,000-supporter milestone, positioning him just under 3,000 supporters away from official consideration.
