Interview with Venga

Hello, first of all, I want to thank you for taking the time for a short interview because I understand that you surely have a lot of work, and time is scarce.

Hey, nice to meet you too, it’s a pleasure to take time for this interview ! 🙂

Congratulations on being recognized as “The Future Of Dance” by 1001 Tracklists at ADE. Can you share your experience at ADE and tell us about your biggest takeaway from the event?

Thank you very much, I am very proud to have received this title at the ADE. I was invited to the 1001 Tracklist private party, it was really an incredible event perfect for meeting people and other artists, great DJ sets, the team was so nice and we all had our official presentation during the evening, what an experience!

Over the years, how do you feel your music and style have evolved, and what factors have contributed to the growth of your artistic identity? Blending tech house, techno, and bass house is a unique approach. Can you elaborate on the challenges and rewards of combining these genres to create your distinct sound?

It’s true that my style has evolved a lot over the years, I took the time to really understand what I like, I think that today I can say that I found the perfect recipe, which for me is a mix between tech house and techno, my two main influences to create my own universe. For that I use techno VSTs, TB 303 style with very tech house vocals.

I don’t forbid myself anything, music is made to explore.

How do you engage with your fan community, and what role do they play in shaping your musical journey?

I don’t hesitate to post my Id’s on the social media because I know how important it is to have the opinion of my community, I like to discuss music and share my ideas, my shows and meet them on gigs. it’s really awesome!

As an artist gaining international recognition, how do you perceive the global impact of electronic dance music, and where do you see the future trends heading?

It’s incredible to see his music cross the world, and I see that depending on each country the impact of electronic music is very different but it still often has a big place.

Techno is very present in Europe and for me it will be there for a long time, while tech house, bass house is much more present in the US.

Are there any specific projects or collaborations in the pipeline that you are excited about, and how do you choose artists to collaborate with?

There are some very nice collaborations in progress that I can’t talk about yet, but for me it has to be done by feeling, we work together and we see if it just fits, the music has to be natural.

Who are some artists or producers that have inspired and influenced your musical journey, and how have they shaped your approach to creating music?

The first artist I saw live was Skrillex in 2012 for his Mothership Tour in Paris, and it was on that day that I wanted to make music, his journey inspired me enormously even if after that I evolved a lot in my style, many artists inspired me in production then notably Chris Lake in tech house or Adam Beyer, Enrico Sangiuliano in techno.

When performing live, how do you gauge the energy of the audience, and how does their response influence your set in real-time?

I really like the energy of people, live is one of my favorite moments I think, I try to feel the people and take them where I want.

Outside of ADE, you also performed at notable gatherings like Tomorrowland Winter, Elektric Park, and Rampage. Can you share a memorable experience from one of these events that had a significant impact on your career?

I think all these events were memorable but if I had to choose I would say Tomorrowland simply because it was a childhood dream to be there.

And there were people who came specifically to see my set, it was really a beautiful memory..
