Electronic music icons Deep Dish have returned to Global Underground for what feels like a full-circle moment. More than two decades after their celebrated appearances on the legendary mix series, Sharam and Dubfire unveil #GU49 Dublin, the long-awaited final chapter in a trilogy that helped define an era of underground dance music.

Following the success of #GU21 Moscow and #GU25 Toronto, Sharam and Dubfire return more than two decades later with a collection that reflects both their roots and their current musical vision. Inspired by their long-standing connection to the Irish capital, #GU49 Dublin captures the emotional depth, groove-driven energy, and forward-thinking sound that have defined Deep Dish throughout their career.
Spread across two carefully curated mixes, the compilation journeys through melodic house, progressive sounds, and underground club music. Highlights include tracks from Enamour, Guy J, Franky Wah, Ezequiel Arias, Avenue One, Culoe De Song, and Pete Tong, MoBlack & Max Zotti featuring Monolink. The selection balances established names with emerging talents, creating a listening experience that feels both timeless and contemporary.

One of the release’s standout moments is Deep Dish’s exclusive rework of Moderat’s acclaimed track “Eating Hooks”. The remix has already earned support from influential artists including Pete Tong, Sasha, Adam Beyer, Damian Lazarus, Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman, and Joyce Muniz.
The compilation also features fresh interpretations of classic records, including Roy Rosenfeld’s remix of Y-Traxx’s “Mystery Land” and AfterU’s reimagining of Deep Dish’s own anthem “Say Hello”, adding another layer of nostalgia and evolution to the project.
Speaking about the release, Deep Dish shared:
“We have been fortunate enough to play some of Dublin’s most iconic rooms. There’s an emotional openness and cultural understanding in Dublin that aligns naturally with who we are and how we approach music. Recording this Global Underground felt like honouring that shared history while capturing where we are now.”
Global Underground founder Andy Horsfield described the project as a landmark moment for the label, marking the completion of a trilogy that has spanned more than twenty years.
Available now on streaming platforms, digital download, CD, vinyl, and a special limited collector’s edition, #GU49 Dublin is more than another mix compilation. It is the closing chapter of a story that began with Moscow, evolved through Toronto, and now reaches its conclusion in Dublin — a city that holds a special place in Deep Dish’s journey.
