The team behind EXIT Festival is set to make its debut in Egypt this October with the launch of Starlight Festival, a brand-new multi-day electronic music event taking place from October 8–11 near the Great Pyramids of Giza.

Created in partnership with Venture Lifestyle and its electronic music platform P+US, Starlight marks the latest chapter in EXIT’s expanding global journey and promises one of the most ambitious electronic music events the region has seen to date.
Leading the lineup is Charlotte de Witte, who will make her first-ever performance in Egypt, alongside Michael Bibi, who will also debut at the iconic location. Joining them is melodic techno powerhouse Adriatique, returning to the Giza plateau after previously drawing nearly 10,000 attendees to a landmark performance. The lineup further includes Vintage Culture, Pete Tong, WhoMadeWho, Enrico Sangiuliano, and a diverse selection of international and regional artists.

Set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most recognisable landmarks, Starlight Festival aims to merge contemporary electronic music with Egypt’s rich cultural heritage. The festival’s main programme will take place on October 9 and 10, while opening and closing events will be hosted across various locations throughout Cairo.
Beyond music, attendees can expect more than five festival stages and immersive zones, including one of the world’s most advanced virtual reality experiences, previously showcased at Expo Dubai. Organisers have confirmed that the event will not take place directly at the pyramids themselves, but from a specially designated site nearby that respects the historical significance and protected status of the ancient monument.

Speaking about the project, EXIT Festival founder and CEO Dušan Kovačević described the event as a significant milestone for the globally recognised festival brand.
“It is a great honour to be invited to bring the premium festival concept near one of the grandest monuments in human history. EXIT has always been known for combining world-class entertainment with a strong social mission, which in this case will be dedicated to celebrating Egypt’s extraordinary cultural heritage to a global audience.”
– says CEO Dušan Kovačević
The project also highlights the growing importance of music tourism, a sector now valued at more than $100 billion globally. According to Venture Lifestyle founder and CEO Rabih Mokbel, the collaboration aims to establish a long-term platform connecting audiences from Europe, the Middle East, and beyond while contributing significantly to Egypt’s tourism economy.
For EXIT, which has been named Europe’s Best Major Festival three times, Starlight represents another major step in its international expansion. For Egypt, it signals the arrival of a new large-scale festival concept that combines global talent, cultural heritage, and cutting-edge production in one of the most extraordinary settings on the planet.

Starlight Festival takes place October 8–11, 2025, in Cairo and near the Great Pyramids of Giza.
Tickets are available through the official Starlight Festival website.
