Sonus Festival 2025: Four Days of Music, Sun & Energy

From Sunday to Wednesday, the LoudLife crew set out to experience one of Europe’s leading techno festivals—Sonus Festival, taking place on the iconic Zrće Beach in Novalja, Croatia. For four nights in a row, the energy never faded: world-class DJ sets, sun-soaked daytime sessions, and a crowd that turned even sudden rain showers into another reason to dance.

Sonus Festival 2025 once again delivered what makes it one of Europe’s most loved techno gatherings: a multinational crowd, world-class acts, and an atmosphere that felt both energetic and deeply human. Groups of friends arrived from Italy, Croatia, and Slovenia, while some fans even traveled all the way from Argentina. The vibe throughout the week was warm and open, with nothing but smiles and a shared love for electronic music.

The heart of the action took place across the iconic clubs Papaya, Noa, Kalypso, and Aquarius, each night carrying its own distinct character. Smaller beach pre-parties set the tone earlier in the day, adding an intimate layer before the big shows kicked in. Every club radiated energy, but a few moments stood out as unforgettable: Jan Blomqvist’s live set, full of emotion that reached far beyond the dancefloor, and the wild Funk Tribu b2b Bad Boombox performance, where Balkan-inspired rhythms fused perfectly with the seaside setting. The crowd was fully present, moving in sync with every beat from start to finish.

The weather played its part in shaping the experience. From Sunday to Tuesday, the nights were warm and golden sunsets matched the music’s intensity. By Wednesday, forecasts warned of a storm, and when Reinier Zonneveld took the stage, heavy rain began to fall. Yet no one retreated—the audience embraced the downpour and kept dancing, proving that nothing could dampen the spirit of Sonus.

Behind the scenes, organizers handled everything with precision, from communication and schedule updates to putting safety first during the storm and the following day’s afterparty. Their professionalism kept the energy flowing smoothly no matter what nature threw at the festival.

This year’s edition featured techno and house heavyweights like Adam Beyer, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, Joseph Capriati b2b Seth Troxler and Traumer, Sven Väth, and Deborah De Luca, alongside melodic masters such as Adriatique, ARTBAT, Miss Monique, Maceo Plex, and Reinier Zonneveld performing live. Rising talents and festival favorites like Jan Blomqvist, Funk Tribu b2b Bad Boombox, Nico Moreno, SYREETA, and Franky Rizardo completed the stacked program.

Sonus proved once again that it is not just a festival, but a celebration of music, community, and the simple joy of dancing together under the open sky.

In the end, Sonus 2025 reaffirmed why it holds its spot among Europe’s best. Four days of sun, sea, and music created memories that will last, whether in moments of quiet emotional connection during live sets or in ecstatic, rain-soaked dancing with thousands of strangers who felt like friends. If you’re looking for a festival that balances relentless energy with true human connection, Sonus should be on your radar.
