Mosimann: “If I Can Still Do This Job In 20 Years, Then I’ve Truly Won”

French electronic artist Mosimann lands in Ibiza this summer with the debut residency of his acclaimed party concept Voulez-Vous at Cova Santa. Taking over four Saturdays across the 2026 season, the series arrives with a clear vision: a premium French line-up, a strict no-phone policy, and an atmosphere built around pure dancefloor connection.
We headed to our beloved Cova Santa with LoudLife to meet Mosimann just before the opening night and from the very first moment backstage, he welcomed us with an incredibly warm and genuine energy. Throughout the interview, he spoke openly about his beginnings, his inspirations, and the emotional connection behind the residency. What stood out the most was how deeply passionate he is about music and how much heart he puts into his work.
And the crowd? Absolutely unreal. His French supporters transformed Cova Santa into one massive family, singing together, dancing together, fully living in the moment without phones in the air. Just pure vibe, pure energy, and exactly the kind of Ibiza magic people come to the island searching for.

Interview With Mosimann

So I’m here at Cova Santa with Mosimann just before his residency ‘Voulez-Vous’ kicks off. How are you feeling, and what’s it like to be back on this magical island?

My God, I’m so happy. And it’s funny because when you walk into Cova Santa, there’s a sign that says “Where dreams come true.”

Honestly, today feels emotional for me because I’ve had the chance to book some of my idols. Tonight, Étienne de Crécy is playing. I started DJing when he was already a star. And later, Agoria will play after me in the club.

I grew up listening to their music, and now we’re sharing the same lineup. The fact that they accepted to come to my residency here in Ibiza makes me feel incredibly honoured.

That honestly sounds like a fairy tale and really inspiring. Why did you choose Cova Santa for your residency?

To be honest, they chose me. They invited me to do the residency, and I asked if it would be possible to bring more French artists to the island. They loved the idea.

I feel like French DJs apart from names like David Guetta and Hugel are still not represented enough in Ibiza.

And the amazing thing is that everyone said yes. We’ll have artists like Meïde, Agoria, Étienne de Crécy and many more. I’m super excited about this residency.

So part of your vision was also to support and showcase French talent in Ibiza

Absolutely. Exactly that.

You have several dates this summer, who can we expect on the lineup?

Oh my God, there are so many names! You definitely have to check the lineup online. We have four main shows here, and every night has a different vibe.

There’s a young DJ called DJ ELFIGO it’s his first time playing on the island, so I’m really excited for him. And another very special person for me is John Révox, who opens every party. He’s actually the one who taught me how to DJ when I was 16 years old.

So yes, there’s a real emotional connection behind this residency.

So you personally have a connection with almost everyone involved?

Absolutely. At least I hope so!

Ibiza is definitely a magical island. Besides Cova Santa, do you have a favourite place here

I would probably say Amnesia Ibiza.

For me, it’s one of the few clubs where people truly come for the music. Of course they also come for the DJs, the production, the atmosphere, but at the core, it’s still about the music. And for me, that’s the key.

Let’s talk a little about your career. You’ve already built such a strong position in electronic music. What are you most proud of so far?

I’ve had a few dreams in my life, like playing in Ibiza or performing at Tomorrowland.

But honestly, if I can still do this job in 20 years, then I’ve truly won.

The connection we have with the audience- that bond is probably the most important thing to me.

What advice would you give to young artists trying to break into the scene?

It’s always tricky to answer these questions because you don’t want to sound arrogant giving advice.

But I would say: do everything with your heart. That’s what I’ve always done.

Maybe I’m not the biggest DJ in the world, but I can honestly say I’m deeply passionate about what I do, and I think that matters the most.

Is there anyone inspiring you right now

There are many DJs I admire, but I’d say David Guetta is a huge inspiration for me.

As a French-Swiss DJ, he opened the door for all of us and made us believe that anything is possible. He’s simply the GOAT.

Funny enough, David Guetta is actually our neighbour — he lives just two streets away from us. I’m still waiting for the day I randomly meet him while shopping!

Of course you will. You will!

Last question, why should people come to Cova Santa for your show?

Oh my God… probably because it’s true: dreams really do come true here.

Please come.

Thank you so much, and let’s enjoy the party together tonight.
