Loco Dice returns with “Hold Up (You Feel That),” his first major release since Purple Jam, delivering a high-energy cut built for peak-time dancefloors.

Loco Dice marks the return of one of electronic music’s most respected artists. The acclaimed DJ and producer has made his comeback to Universal Music with his first major release since his 2025 album Purple Jam. A defining figure in contemporary electronic music for more than two decades, Loco Dice continues to combine his deep hip-hop roots, Tunisian heritage, and unmistakable rhythmic style into a sound that remains instantly recognizable.
“Hold Up (You Feel That)” is a high-energy club track built around powerful percussion, detailed programming, and infectious female spoken-word vocals from Alaina Arnez. Rather than relying on a traditional melodic breakdown, the track focuses on rhythm and movement. Its tension and release create the kind of hypnotic energy designed for peak-time dancefloors, large sound systems, and long DJ sets. The release once again highlights why Loco Dice has remained one of the most respected names in the global club scene.

Born and raised in a multicultural household with Tunisian roots, Loco Dice developed his musical identity through hip-hop before becoming an electronic music icon. In the early 1990s, he started as a DJ and later toured internationally as a rapper, performing alongside artists including Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. Those experiences shaped the rhythmic approach that would later define his electronic productions. After moving into electronic music in the early 2000s, Dice quickly established himself with releases such as “Phat Dope Shit” and his debut album 7 Dunham Place, released on his own Desolat label in 2008.
Since then, he has released acclaimed projects including Underground Sound Suicide, Love Letters, and Purple Jam, while collaborating with artists across electronic music and hip-hop. His work has appeared on influential labels such as Ovum, Minus, and Cocoon, alongside remixes for artists including Moby, Disclosure, Black Coffee, and Basement Jaxx.
Beyond the studio, Loco Dice has built a global reputation through performances at major festivals including Time Warp, Sunwaves, and Coachella, as well as legendary Ibiza venues such as Circoloco at DC-10, Amnesia, and Space Miami. In 2007, he founded Desolat, a label that helped shape the sound of modern underground electronic music, releasing music from artists including Dubfire, Martin Buttrich, DJ Sneak, and Yaya. His creativity also extends beyond music through fashion collaborations, runway soundtracks, and his own clothing brand Seran Bendecidos.
With “Hold Up (You Feel That),” Loco Dice once again shows why he remains a unique force in electronic music — an artist who continues to connect different genres, cultures, and generations through sound.
