Solomun +1 welcomed Idris Elba for a rare back-to-back set, with their connection tracing back to a spontaneous moment at Glastonbury’s Guerilla Bar. That shared history gave their reunion at Pacha Ibiza a special energy, turning the night into one of the standout moments of the season.

Fourteen years into its story, Solomun +1 remains one of Ibiza’s most distinctive residencies: a Sunday night institution shaped by trust, selection, and the chemistry between Solomun and the artists he invites into his world. This week at Pacha Ibiza, that chemistry took on a particularly personal form as Idris Elba joined him for a rare back-to-back that felt greater than the sum of its parts.
Their story began with a spontaneous B2B at Glastonbury’s Guerilla Bar, where a chance moment behind the decks grew into a personal connection and clear mutual respect. At Pacha, that history gave the night a truly unique shine, with Idris Elba opening from midnight to 2:30am, Solomun taking the reins from 2:30am to 5am, and the two coming together from 5am until close. Two friends, two tastemakers from different corners of the industry, and one of Ibiza’s most iconic rooms. For Idris, the set also carried the inspiration of playing alongside an artist he clearly respects, while for Solomun, it reflected the kind of personal ethos that has always sat at the heart of +1.

We’re well into the summer now, and the Sundays keep coming. Next week, Solomun returns for an all-night solo set, with Skrillex, Jamie xx, Peggy Gou, Anyma, Dixon, Barry Can’t Swim, KETTAMA, Âme and more still to come before the closing on October 4.
