GRiZ continues the momentum of his 2025 return with a massive new collaboration alongside GRYFFIN – officially dropping Friday, September 12 via 10K Projects. The track, ‘Deep Clear Water’, first made waves earlier this summer when it was previewed by GRYFFIN during his evening set at Lollapalooza’s iconic Perry’s Stage, instantly becoming one of the most talked-about IDs of the weekend.

The collaboration blends GRiZ’s explosive, genre-defying bass energy with GRYFFIN’s soaring melodic style, uniting two powerhouse voices for what’s shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest electronic crossovers.
This new release builds on a string of major moments in GRiZ’s return: the surprise Gemini EP, his May single “Chaos Theory” with Wooli, and his upcoming sold-out Seven Stars Festival and arena plays in Chicago and Daly City this fall. As GRiZ continues to reemerge after his 2023 hiatus, the single reflects his renewed creative energy – and his commitment to collaboration and unexpected sonic pairings in this next chapter.

‘Deep Clear Water’ extends GRYFFIN’s run of impactful collaborations, following ‘In My Head’ with Kaskade, ’Air’ with Excision & Julia Michaels, ‘Hard Time Lover’ with Chance Peña, ‘Higher Power’ with LAVERN & AR/CO. The release coincides with his recent sunrise set on a boat in the middle of Lake Tahoe, echoing the natural and elemental themes of this year. GRYFFIN’s next tour stops will take him to Australia for a trio headline dates before upcoming festival appearances at Ultra Japan, Ultra Korea, Wicked Oak, Escape Halloween, and EDC Orlando.
Stream GRYFFIN and GRiZ’s new collaboration ‘Deep Clear Water’ available now on all platforms.

About GRiZ

Funk isn’t merely a genre. It’s a state of mind. Such is the opinion of GRiZ, the North Detroit–raised musician who spends sunny days and neon-tinted nights in pursuit of good vibrations. The multi-talented GRiZ has cultivated a party-poppin’ corner of bass music all his own defined by sax-blastin’ productions and soulful live shows. His reflective nature and fun-loving attitude are mirrored in his unmistakable electronic creations, each their own serotonin-fueled gateway to a bona fide good time. Now building beats in the heart of Denver, GRiZ has proven that his eclectic style is boundless. A musical chameleon, GRiZ is never afraid to flip the switch from upbeat future funk to low-tempo glitch-hop, dive into the heavier leaning side of bass music, and even from time to time quench his thirst with a taste of four-on-the-floor or disco. This shape-shifting maestro can do it all, painting each cut with his vibey hallmark sound print and leaving no question of their genesis. In March of 2025, after an extended hiatus, GRiZ announced his inaugural Seven Stars Festival that will take place in October in Arrington, VA. The festival sold out in minutes and will feature GRiZ’s first live performances in two years, alongside sets from iconic artists such as Subtronics, Hamdi, Levity, and Disco Lines, among over 60 other artists. Alongside the on-sale, GRiZ dropped the surprise GEMiNI EP, a sonic foreshadowing for the future of his project. In May, GRiZ also announced further two-night plays at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, and Cow Palace in Daly City. Joining GRiZ for these two bass-boosted weekends will be Sippy, Boogie T, Gramatik, and Levity, among others.
