We had the opportunity to get an exclusive behind-the scenes look at La Troya, the iconic resident night held every Monday at Chinois Ibiza. Our very own Mikey Slade, who will be performing on Monday, June 22nd, took us to meet Eduardo de Oliveira, Partner of La Troya, and Fabio Rais, Director of La Troya and Summerlife Ibiza.

INTERVIEW:
La Troya is back at Chinois, and I’m here with Eduardo, the owner, and Fabio, the promoter. La Troya has been one of Ibiza’s most iconic parties for decades. What has been the secret behind its success?
The soul and real power of La Troya is its concept. It all began more than 50 years ago with Brasilio, who started the story of La Troya. We are simply the new generation continuing that legacy while keeping the same spirit alive. Everything started with a small bar, which eventually became Discoteca Q. From those early days, La Troya has represented freedom, diversity, and the true spirit of Ibiza.
La Troya has always felt like a family. The performers are such an important part of the experience. What do you look for in artists and performers who join the La Troya family?
Everyone who works with La Troya becomes part of the family. Every performer, every team member, contributes to keeping La Troya exactly what it is today. That sense of unity and belonging is one of the foundations of our success.

You’re back at Chinois this season. Congratulations! What surprises do you have in store for us?
We have some exciting things planned. One of the highlights is Rampini, who represents the new generation of house music and has become a resident DJ at La Troya. We also have several surprises throughout the season, including an amazing new singer that everyone will soon discover.
Running an event like La Troya requires an incredible amount of energy. When do you find time to relax and switch off?
What motivates us most is seeing people happy. We want everyone who comes to La Troya to feel free and able to express themselves. That’s what drives us. We work hard, but it’s because La Troya is more than just a party. It’s an idea, a project, and a spirit that we want to keep alive.

La Troya has always been known as an LGBTQIA-friendly party, but it also has a strong underground music identity. How important is it to stay connected to the underground scene?
La Troya has always been about giving opportunities to everyone. Freedom is the most important value for us. Whether you’re a world-famous DJ, a resident artist, or someone attending for the first time, everyone is welcome. While we proudly support the LGBTQIA community, La Troya is truly a party for everyone.
That’s one of the reasons why La Troya remains such a special part of Ibiza’s nightlife. Is there anything you’d like to say to people who haven’t experienced it yet?
Everyone is invited to La Troya Ibiza. If you’ve never been before, come and experience it for yourself. It has been one of Ibiza’s most iconic parties for many years, from the days of Amnesia to its new home at Chinois. The doors are open to everyone.
Thank you both, and let’s go party!
Thank you. See you at La Troya Ibiza.
