Joseph Capriati returns to his own Metamorfosi Records with a brand-new collaboration, joining forces with fellow Italian GENNARO for their first studio meeting, ‘Control’. The release brings together two artists with a strong connection to Italy’s evolving house scene, pairing Capriati’s established club sound with GENNARO’s deeper, jazz-influenced approach. It also marks another chapter for Metamorfosi, continuing the label’s focus on music that reflects Capriati’s vision while creating space for fresh names and new collaborations.
The track marks Capriati’s second release on the label and brings together two artists from Italy’s new generation of house talent. Hailing from Ischia, GENNARO has quickly built a name for his deep, jazz-tinged sound, breaking through in 2024 with one of the year’s standout records before going on to release music across a range of respected international labels.
On ‘Control’, the two producers find a natural common ground. A rolling groove, slick production, vibrant sax lines and a catchy vocal hook come together in a track built for the dancefloor, balancing Capriati’s signature energy with GENNARO’s deeper, more character-driven approach.
The track has already been making waves throughout the summer at Capriati’s Metamorfosi residency in Ibiza, where its club-ready energy has found a natural home.
