Solomun +1 returned to Pacha Ibiza on Sunday, August 16, welcoming Berlin DJ and selector DJ Gigola for the latest chapter of the long-running residency. More than a decade after the concept first began, its formula remains refreshingly focused: one guest artist, extended solo sets from both DJs, and a final B2B that brings their individual sounds together in the booth.

DJ Gigola arrived with a sound that reflects her reputation as one of Berlin’s more distinctive selectors. Her opening set moved freely between trance, acid, breaks and rave-leaning techno, with shifting rhythms and percussion helping to keep the dancefloor in constant motion. Rather than staying within a single genre, she moved between styles with the kind of fluidity that has become a defining part of her approach. Solomun took over next, diving into the deep, hypnotic territory that has long been central to his sound. Bass-heavy grooves, sultry vocals and unexpected musical turns shaped his set, gradually building the atmosphere ahead of the night’s final chapter.
As the Solomun +1 format traditionally calls for, the evening eventually moved into its closing B2B. Solomun and DJ Gigola went record for record, allowing their different musical perspectives to collide and complement each other. The result was a natural continuation of the two solo sets, with both artists exploring where their respective styles could meet behind the Pacha booth.

DJ Gigola’s appearance also fits into a 2026 Solomun +1 season that has continued to bring together artists from very different corners of the electronic music world. Earlier editions have featured names including Skrillex, Peggy Gou, Jamie xx and Idris Elba, keeping the residency’s guest line-up deliberately broad and unpredictable.
With the 2026 season now entering its final stretch, the next Solomun +1 night will see Max Styler join Solomun at Pacha Ibiza on Sunday, August 23. The weeks that follow will feature Barry Can’t Swim, DESIREE, KETTAMA and Âme, continuing a summer programme built around different perspectives from across the global clubbing scene.

The season will then come to a close on October 4, when Solomun takes complete control of the booth for an all-night-long closing party, bringing this year’s +1 journey at Pacha Ibiza to its final chapter.
