Carl Cox will headline a special open-air show at Croatia’s Cave Romane on August 7, bringing his legendary sound to a remarkable historic setting.

BSH Events has announced another major highlight for its summer season, with Carl Cox set to headline a special open-air performance at Croatia’s iconic Cave Romane on August 7.
Following the successful Gates of Agartha collaboration in June and upcoming events featuring Amelie Lens and Black Coffee, the Croatian promoter continues its impressive 2025 programme with one of electronic music’s most respected and enduring artists.
Located near Vinkuran on the Istrian peninsula, Cave Romane is unlike any conventional club or festival venue. The former Roman quarry, shaped through centuries of excavation, is surrounded by towering limestone walls that create a dramatic natural amphitheatre. Its raw textures, vast scale and unique acoustics have helped establish the location as one of Croatia’s most distinctive destinations for electronic music events.

Taking over this extraordinary setting is Carl Cox, a true pioneer whose influence on dance music spans decades. From his early days in the UK’s rave movement to headlining the world’s biggest clubs and festivals, Carl Cox has built a reputation for seamlessly moving between house, techno and acid-infused sounds while maintaining an unmistakable energy behind the decks.
For this event, BSH Events is once again collaborating with creative production specialists Highscream, known for delivering large-scale immersive experiences. Rather than transforming Cave Romane into a conventional festival site, the production will work in harmony with the quarry’s natural environment, incorporating laser mapping, immersive lighting and large-scale visual installations designed to enhance the venue’s striking architecture while preserving its authentic character.

The show forms part of BSH Events‘ wider vision of creating destination electronic music experiences at some of Croatia’s most unique and culturally significant locations. Recent projects have included large-scale events at Cave Romane and performances at historic landmarks such as Pula Arena, helping establish the promoter as one of the region’s most ambitious forces within the European electronic music scene.
With Carl Cox set to perform beneath the towering stone walls of a 2,000-year-old quarry, August 7 promises to be one of the standout dates of Croatia’s summer electronic music calendar.
Tickets are available via entrio.hr, starting from 49.00 EUR.
