At International Music Summit 2026, LoudLife caught up with house music pioneer Oscar G following his appearance on the panel “35 Years of Nervous Records.” Founded in New York in 1990, Nervous Records has played a defining role in shaping global house music culture, growing from the underground into a respected institution while staying true to its roots. In our interview, Oscar G reflects on his first-ever IMS experience, the evolution of Ibiza from its early days to today’s more commercial landscape, and why the island still holds a special place in his story. We also dive into what’s next for him—from upcoming releases on Nervous to fresh sounds on his own Made in Miami label and spotlight rising talent Nicole Fiallo, a name he believes is one to watch.

How are you enjoying IMS this year?
This is actually my first time here, so it’s been really cool just getting to know everything and soaking it all in.
What’s your schedule like during IMS?
I just did a talk with Nervous Records earlier, and tonight I’m playing at Chinois. It’s my first time there, so I’m looking forward to it.
Is this also your first time in Ibiza?
No, not at all, I’ve been here several times over the years.
What makes Ibiza special for you?
A lot of memories, honestly. When I first came here, it was a completely different place. It’s changed a lot since then, but I’ve had some amazing times here.
How would you describe that change?
It’s much bigger now, more corporate in a way. But at the same time, it’s still beautiful. That’s something that never changes. It’s always going to be a special place.
What’s new right now? Any upcoming releases?
Yeah, there are a couple of releases coming out on Nervous Records in the next few months, and there’s always new music coming out on the Made in Miami label. @305madeinmiami
Are there any artists we should keep an eye on?
Definitely Nicole Fiallo. She has several releases on the label and is someone to watch. A great DJ, first of all, and her production feels very pure, it really comes from the heart.
Thank you for your time—and enjoy IMS!
Thank you!
