Charlotte de Witte announces her new EP ‘Amor’, a three-track release arriving April 30 on her label KNTXT. The vinyl edition will also include an exclusive instrumental mix of ‘O Movimento’. The project sees Charlotte de Witte collaborating with Brazilian artist CERES across all three tracks, bringing a shared vocal identity and conceptual cohesion to the release.
The EP arrives during a landmark period for Charlotte de Witte, following her 15th career anniversary celebrations, two massive 23,000-capacity shows at Flanders Expo, the release of her debut album and its deluxe edition, and widespread international press coverage from titles including Vogue, BBC 6 Music, DJ Mag, Mixmag, Rolling Stone, Billboard and more.
At the heart of ‘Amor’ is a clear emotional and cultural inspiration. CERES — Brazilian singer, DJ and producer — contributes Portuguese lyrics and a distinctive vocal style that moves between hypnotic chant and raw, expressive delivery. Across the EP, subtle recurring motifs connect the three tracks, giving the impression of a unified suite rather than separate cuts.
As Charlotte de Witte explains:
“This EP is inspired by my love for Portugal and Brazil, the country, the people, the food, the culture. Made with lots of amor.”
The title track ‘Amor’ opens with a driving, galloping rhythm layered with spacious FX, building tension through a rising hoover siren as CERES’ vocal chant cuts through the mix. Acid elements gradually intensify, culminating in a dense, high-energy peak.
‘Sem Ar’ (“Airless”) shifts into more fractured territory, with fast, rattling percussion and breakbeat-leaning energy. CERES’ voice takes centre stage in a stripped-back breakdown, before transforming into a sharper, more synthetic texture, layered over acidic sequences.
Closing track ‘O Movimento’ (“Movement”) continues the momentum with a speeding, hi-hat-driven groove and breathless vocal delivery. Acid lines gradually emerge, expanding the track into a tense, evolving finale.
Beyond the release, de Witte continues to expand her global touring presence in 2026, with headline appearances at major festivals including Time Warp Brazil, EDC Las Vegas, We Love Green in Paris, Kappa Futur Festival, Awakenings, Sónar, and more — reinforcing her position as one of the most in-demand names in global techno.
