“Soulcatcher” EP‘A year ago, “In The Dark” set the emotional bar high, so we dedicated ourselves to creating new stories for people to experience and reflect on. “Soulcatcher’” brings four different themes, each carrying its own sonic energy, yet all connected through life itself. As always, we aimed to craft journeys that stay with you—on the dance floor, in your headphones, on the road, or wherever our music finds you.’ – Balthazar & JackRock

The EP uses high energy, layered techno beats, melodic elements, ethereal vocals and dark acid tones, divided by powerfully focused breakdowns, to express the different themes and stories.“Soulcatcher” title track: sirens, hoover, reverb-heavy stabs, and a chopped choral vocal electro narrates an urgent, portentous soundscape. A brief flight of yearning, melodic synth chords bring up the emotional ante. “Don’t Look Back” is insistent, fast, hard techno, under a Moroder-esque synth beat enriched by euphoric melody and a resonant, rich female vocal singing in a call and response. “Synchronize Your Love” combines rampant techno energy with an echoing female vocal alongside fuzzy robotic voice riffs and an acid drenched melody. “One Woman Army” starts with alien chime-like notes, giving a psychedelic vibe yielding to techno beats, fuzzy arps and robotic chanting; compelling and teeth-tingling. A more melodic section casts a spell in the biggest breakdown as both vocals duet.
