Aniurka: “My Dream Is To Share My Soul With The World Through My Music”

After a hectic Ibiza season, we met up with Aniurka for a rare moment of calm. Walking together through the quiet, off-season streets of Dalt Vila, our steps eventually led us to the ancient fortress overlooking the island. There, surrounded by centuries of history and an unusually empty Ibiza, we talked about her incredible journey, how a humble, determined DJ from Venezuela made her way to the White Isle, built her name in one of the world’s toughest scenes, and what drives her sound, her spirit, and her next chapter.

Interview With Aniurka:

Hello from Ibiza Castle. We’re here with Aniurka after the Ibiza season. How are you?

I’m good, and you?

I’m pretty well. Are you tired after this busy season? You had some really nice gigs next to WhoMadeWho, Adriatique and many more. How do you feel after such a successful and busy season?

I feel very satisfied with this season. I started taking my career more seriously and I had some of the biggest events of my life. Opening the show for Adriatique and WhoMadeWho was amazing. I also played at different parties, more pre-parties. I’m also a music producer, and this summer was very emotional and inspiring for me. So yes, I’m very happy.

I’m happy for you too. How did it all start? You came from Venezuela and now you’re based in Ibiza. Why did you choose this place as your home?

I lived in Alicante for 10 years when I arrived from Venezuela. That’s where I started my DJ career. I played in a big club and grew a lot there. One night, someone told me, “Wow, you play so well, you should go to Ibiza. Your sound would be amazing there.” That comment gave me the idea. I had never thought about Ibiza before, but that night changed my mind. I felt I needed to grow more.
One month later, I made the decision. I left everything behind again and came to Ibiza without knowing anyone, without work or anything. I just believed in myself and said: Let’s go. I’ve been here for seven years now.

As you mentioned, your signature sound caught someone’s attention. How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your set?

It’s hard to explain, but now I understand more about myself and my sound. When you come to listen to me, you don’t know what to expect — but you will like it. You’ll discover passion, introspection, vocal blends, emotion… and you will feel my energy. My set is something to discover.

One dream has already come true — you’re here in Ibiza. But what’s next for Aniurka? What’s your biggest dream?

I want to continue my career and release my music. This is what I want the most. As artists, we want to show our music to the world — it’s like sharing our soul. My dream is to share my music, to play, and for people to understand my sound and enjoy my message through the music.

You have your own label and you create a lot of music. What inspires you, and do you have any rituals before going into the studio?

Yes. I wake up at 7 AM. I changed my habits and now I’m very disciplined. I wake up, go to the gym, and spend time in nature — I like to connect with nature. It changes my energy. Then I go to the studio with a clean mind, connected with God, with the universe. And then the ideas come more fluidly.

Tell me more about Ibiza, especially from an artist’s perspective. How does the scene look here? Is it difficult to play and get gigs?

That’s a nice question. I’ve lived here seven years, and so many crazy things have happened to me — in a good way. Here I opened shows for Robin Williams, for Becky Hill, and I even played for Peggy Gou on her birthday, which became my residency. Once, I even had a back-to-back with Martin Garrix. These things just happen in Ibiza. Of course, it can be difficult, but for me, things happened because people talked about me, recommended me, and gave me opportunities. Sometimes I asked for opportunities, and people said no. I used to be shy to ask. But when one door closes, another opens — that’s the magic of Ibiza.

What’s next for Aniurka? Winter is here. What are your plans personally and musically?

Musically, I’m organizing my whole career. I’m starting my new concept — “New Aniurka” — my new sound. I will show my first productions, and with more time, it will become more perfect. I already have one EP online, and more is coming. I’m also working with my new manager. We are preparing for new gigs and new places. I’m very excited — now everything is moving in the right way.

Perfect. Good luck with everything. We can’t wait to hear more from Aniurka.

Thank you.
