In a year already brimming with innovation in electronic music, Famous When Dead Records is emerging as one of the UK’s most exciting independent imprints. Founded by DJ and producer CASH ONLY, the label has quickly carved out a reputation for genre-defying releases and a commitment to quality over commercialism.

A Vision Beyond the Mainstream
Launched with a mission to reshape club culture, Famous When Dead Records blends house music and its offshoots with a bold, multidisciplinary approach. The label’s debut single, “Another One” by UK chart-topper Syncia, set the tone for what would become a string of top-ten hits. The roster features a dynamic mix of rising stars and established names, including Reigns, Patrick Meeks, Maisie Mae, and Holly Ellison, all contributing to a sound that resonates across clubs, charts, and radio.
But Famous When Dead is more than a label—it’s a creative collective. In collaboration with Midlands-based abstract street artist Famous When Dead, the imprint fuses music with visual storytelling, rejecting formulaic trends in favor of immersive, boundary-pushing experiences.
“We didn’t just want to build a label, we wanted to build a world,” says CASH ONLY. “One that lives through a track, a T-shirt, a short film, or a full sensory club experience.”

Global Stages and Upcoming Releases
With a packed summer tour schedule, CASH ONLY is bringing his signature energy to some of the world’s biggest stages, including Glastonbury, Hi Ibiza, Defected Croatia, Reading Festival, Parklife, and Pikes Ibiza. These performances will coincide with a wave of new releases, including collaborations with Patrick Meeks, Holly Ellison, Reigns, and VSTRV, plus remixes from Christiano Fry, Jewel Kid, Jon Bucceri, and G-Double-E.
CASH ONLY’s own profile continues to rise, with releases on respected labels like DVINE Sounds, Nervous, Newstate, Electronic Nature, and Upcycle. His track “Holy Water” recently hit No. 2 on the Afro House Chart via King Street Sounds, and his Spotify presence now boasts over 1 million streams and 40K+ monthly listeners.
What’s Next
On June 27th, CASH ONLY drops his 17th studio track since returning to music, “Move Slow” featuring Maisie Mae—a product of Amsterdam’s ADE writing camps with Artist Tribe. This will be followed by a July 18th release with Holly Ellison and a Jewel Kid remix of “Take It Down” on July 25th.
With support from industry heavyweights like Major League, Alok, Mark Knight, Richie Hawtin, Shimza, Marco Lys, Paco Osuna, David Penn, DJ Spoony, and Sam Divine, 2025 is shaping up to be a breakout year for both CASH ONLY and Famous When Dead Records.
