Ten Walls, one of the most prominent names in global electronic music and the producer behind the worldwide hit “Walking with Elephants”, has teamed up with Czech producers and live performers VIIITO and John Sarkander. The result is a new single, “Match Point”, set for release on October 9 via Runemark Records.
“Match Point” is a raw, cinematic melodic techno track that brings together energetic electronic production, powerful motivational spoken word and live wind instruments – trumpet and saxophone, performed by VIIITO and John Sarkander themselves. The combination of driving electronic rhythms, atmospheric textures and organic live instrumentation creates a powerful contrast between the precision of electronic production and the spontaneity of live performance.
The live trumpet and saxophone add an unmistakable human element to the track, bringing depth, emotion and a distinctive sonic identity to its cinematic atmosphere. Combined with the motivational spoken word, “Match Point” builds an intense and immersive journey that balances energy, emotion and raw live musicianship.
The story of “Match Point” dates back to 2023, when the first version of the track was created under the working title “Stromboli”. Over the following years, the track was gradually tested in front of live audiences, with its sound continuously evolving and developing through each iteration.
Despite being played and refined over an extended period of time, the track remained unreleased, waiting for the right moment, the right collaboration and its final form.
The turning point came in 2026, when the track reached Ten Walls. Recognising its potential, he became actively involved in the production process, bringing his own creative vision and experience to the project. His involvement opened a new chapter for the track, transforming the original idea into a more refined and distinctive final production.
The result of this collaboration is “Match Point” an international release that connects the Czech electronic music scene with one of Europe’s established electronic music producers and the internationally recognised Runemark Records label.
For VIIITO and John Sarkander, the release marks one of the most significant milestones in their careers to date, bringing their sound to a wider international audience and representing another important step for Czech electronic music on the global stage.
