‘Hands Up’ captures Vintage Culture’s ongoing momentum across both his performances and catalogue. The collaboration with Volkoder creates a natural combination, resulting in a track that leans into rhythmic tension, heavy low ends, and direct energy built for peak-time moments. The collaboration also taps into the growing creative network surrounding Affairs, Vintage Culture’s label and multidisciplinary platform that spotlights both established names and emerging voices across the global scene.

Volkoder enters this space as one of Brazil’s most consistent underground exports, known for his groove-driven house productions and releases on influential labels. His instinct for functional, rhythm-led production aligns with the direction of Affairs, where the focus remains on music that translates directly in clubs while maintaining a distinct artistic identity. Together on ‘Hands Up’, the pairing reflects a shared approach in precision, movement, and an understanding of what drives modern dancefloors.

The release also lands ahead of a significant summer for Vintage Culture, marked by his debut residency Affairs at Pacha Ibiza, which shares its name with his label, alongside upcoming appearances including EDC Las Vegas, a headline show at Fabric London, and an Affairs edition at Pacha NYC, building on their strong collaboration.

‘Hands Up’ is now out via Affairs.

About Volkoder:
Originally from Salto, in the countryside of São Paulo, Volkoder is one of the Brazilian electronic music artists with the strongest international presence in recent years. Over his two-decade career, he has built a consistent trajectory defined by a strong sonic identity and frequent performances across multiple countries, on some of the world’s most important stages, such as Tomorrowland Brasil, Rock in Rio Brasil, Ministry of Sound in London, Space Club in Miami, Eden (Ibiza and Brazil), Green Valley and Warung Beach Club.

In total, the artist’s solid discography includes more than 200 releases on labels such as Hot Creations, Catch & Release, Black Book Records, Defected, and Dynamic. He currently surpasses 50 million cumulative streams and averages around 270,000 monthly listeners across digital platforms.

The first major highlight of his career came in 2014 with the release of the EP “Detroit”. In the same year, 15 of his tracks ranked among the most purchased by DJs worldwide, further establishing his prominence in the global market, with support from names such as Solomun, Keinemusik, Peggy Gou, Jamie Jones, Carl Cox, and CamelPhat.

In 2015, he released “Sensation”, which became the most played track of the Ibiza summer that year. Years later, in 2020, he reached the overall #1 spot on Beatport with “Tornado”, which he considers the most impactful release of his career to date. In early 2026, he released the EP “Pictures: Volkoder”, featuring six unreleased tracks. The standout was “All Night Long”, which reached #2 on Beatport’s Tech House chart and became a staple in all of his sets, emerging as a new dancefloor signature.

Resistant to rigid labels, Volkoder has built a reputation as an artist focused on groove and dancefloor storytelling. His music moves across different strands of house music without losing its identity, balancing repetition, tension, and emotional impact. What may sound simple in the studio reveals itself on the dancefloor as a detailed engineering of dynamics and energy, the result of extensive experimentation and refinement.
