Sónar 2026 returns to Barcelona with The Prodigy, Skepta, Charlotte de Witte, new venues, expanded formats and over 100 performances.

Sónar has revealed the final details for its 33rd edition, set to take place across Barcelona from June 18–20, 2026. Announced during an official press conference at Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm, this year’s edition introduces a redesigned festival format, expanded city-wide programming, and more than 100 performances spanning electronic music, audiovisual art, technology and digital culture.
For the first time in the festival’s history, the entire music program will be hosted at Fira Gran Via. The new setup will feature four stages on Thursday before expanding to six stages — three indoor and three outdoor — across Friday and Saturday. Organizers describe the redesign as a major step toward improving accessibility while preserving the iconic day-to-night identity that has defined Sónar for more than three decades.
Among the biggest names announced for Sónar 2026 are legendary UK electronic act The Prodigy and grime heavyweight Skepta. The lineup also includes sets from Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens and Chris Stussy, alongside live performances by Cabaret Voltaire, Kelis, WhoMadeWho and Modeselektor.
One of the most unique additions to the program is STOOR Live, a 360-degree collaborative improvisation concept led by techno pioneer Speedy J. The project will feature a different group of performers each day, creating entirely spontaneous live electronic sessions.
Elsewhere on the lineup, Sónar continues its tradition of blending established names with forward-thinking talent. Highlights include Nia Archives, Dom Dolla, Goldie B2B Doc Scott with Medic MC, a live show from mysterious UK duo Two Shell, plus performances by KETTAMA, DJ Gigola, Sara Landry, Sammy Virji, Funk Tribu and Daria Kolosova.
Experimental performances and audiovisual projects also remain central to the festival’s identity. Reinier Zonneveld will present his new R2 show, combining AI-generated interaction with holographic visuals, while Japanese artist Daito Manabe will showcase a new performance created with technology from Google DeepMind.

The festival’s innovation platform, Sónar+D, also enters a new chapter in 2026. Now managed entirely by Fundación Sónar, the event moves to the historic Llotja de Mar, where talks, workshops, installations and performances will explore themes surrounding AI, digital culture, internet futures and the relationship between humanity and technology.
This year’s Sónar+D program includes appearances from creators and thinkers including Yancey Strickler, Mónica Rikić, Mindy Seu and Daito Manabe, alongside exhibitions, immersive installations and interactive projects from international collectives and institutions.

Sónar’s expansion across Barcelona also continues through Sónar Week, transforming the city into a hub for music, technology and culture throughout June. The return of Sónar Kids at Parc del Fòrum brings family programming back to the festival, while OFFSónar once again takes over Poble Espanyol with events featuring Rampa, Adam Port, Adriatique and elrow.
New for 2026, Sónar is also partnering with Moog Barcelona to celebrate the club’s 30th anniversary with four specially curated nights programmed alongside Barcelona electronic music icon Angel Molina.
With its revamped format, ambitious artistic direction and one of its most diverse lineups to date, Sónar 2026 once again positions Barcelona at the center of the global electronic music and digital culture landscape.
