Billain’s long-awaited LP “Mirror” is slated for release on Friday 29th August 2025. A seventeen-track odyssey into the distorted self, the release lands via Evolution Chamber and marks a significant moment for the Bosnian sound designer and cross-media innovator.

At once brutal and intricate, “Mirror” fuses Drum & Bass, Neuro-hop, ambient and experimental electronics to deliver a record that’s cinematic in scope and limitless in form.
It’s an album that defies convention, instead building an entire world out of sonic extremity and warped introspection.
Alongside standout solo tracks, the album includes two heavyweight collaborations: “Dystopia” with German duo Rawtekk, and “Glass Fortress” with Evolution Chamber labelmates Magnetude. Across “Mirror”, Billain pushes his signature style to new extremes.
This is his most detailed, unfiltered work yet. Complex audio design meets narrative intent. Organic textures collide with hyper-digitised grit. The album carries the same chaotic energy as the recent singles “Afterburner”, “ESEF” and “Doomed Heart”, while digging deeper into the psychology behind the music.
Listen To the Album
First fully unveiled at this summer’s globally-attended Let It Roll Festival, the album launch featured a high-impact headline set on the Evolution Chamber stage and a special fan-driven activation: an “Eyetifacts” Treasure Hunt, which rewarded seekers with physical artefacts and cryptic messages from the artist.
“Mirror” arrives as more than just an album. It’s a full-concept release, supported by original artwork, limited-edition collectables and interactive elements that extend beyond the music.
Since breaking through with his dystopian Neurofunk and glitch-heavy production style, Billain has expanded far beyond DnB. He’s scored scenes for films like “Pacific Rim Uprising” and “Hunter Killer”, sound-designed the horror game “Scorn”, and launched AV art projects through his experimental alias AETHEK.
His last LP, “Nomad’s Revenge”, earned a nomination at the British DnB Awards and featured collaborators from Blade Runner and Foreign Beggars. “Mirror” is the follow-up – but it’s far more than a sequel.
This is Billain, unchained. Seventeen tracks. One distorted reflection. No compromise.

Billain
Billain has done extensive sound design work for major projects including the films Hunter Killer and Pacific Rim Uprising. He also employs his diverse skill set for HYPERBINARY, a sophisticated audiovisual project. A second alias of his dubbed AETHEK builds further on his proven production expertise with a striking style focused on intricate, complex sound design over musical arrangement.
Flaunting an EP release titled 1991 VG on visionary imprint RENRAKU GLOBAL MEDIA and additionally handling all composition and sound design work for Ebb Software’s most anticipated game “Scorn”, AETHEK’s highly experimental yet cohesive approach to music has proven that he is in no way restrained by the boundaries of the norm. Endless self improvement and a tireless work ethic validates that BILLAIN is taking several key steps toward the future of experimental art. His Debut Album “Nomad’s Revenge” is nominated for the “Best album of the year” in British DnB Awards, featuring a short film released with the album with actors, animators that had worked on “Blade Runner”, and guests MC’s of highest caliber such as Orifice Vulgatron from Foreign Beggars. His work has been supported by Noisia, Amon Tobin, Chris Cunningham, Teebee, Glitchmob and MrBill to name a few. Billain’s next plans is releasing the cluster of 7 albums intertwined with story narrative that has been unlocked by the debut album.
